Bathroom Showroom Design & Installation Technician

Location: Ashbourne, Co. Meath, Ireland

Job Type: Full-time, Permanent

Annual Salary: €36,605 per annum (or higher, as applicable)

Hours of Work: 39 hours per week

About the Role

Mediterranean Design Centre Ltd. is seeking a Bathroom Showroom Design & Installation Technician to support the design, construction, installation and maintenance of bathroom and ceramic tile displays while assisting customers with bathroom layout planning using computer-aided design software.

The successful applicant will combine practical installation skills with showroom design, warehouse management and customer support. Full training will be provided in the company’s products, bathroom planning software and installation standards.

Main Duties

Prepare computer-aided bathroom layouts and design proposals using specialist bathroom planning software.
Assist customers with bathroom product selection and space planning.
Construct, install and modify bathroom and ceramic tile showroom displays.
Carry out ceramic and porcelain wall and floor tiling for display installations.
Undertake carpentry work required to construct and modify display units.
Install bathroom furniture, sanitaryware, shower enclosures, vanity units and accessories.
Dismantle, refurbish and maintain existing showroom displays.
Receive, organise and manage warehouse stock.
Operate company vehicles for the collection and delivery of stock and materials where required.
Maintain high showroom presentation standards.
Follow company health and safety procedures.
Participate in ongoing training in bathroom products, design software and installation techniques.

Essential Requirements

Practical experience in ceramic and porcelain tiling.
Practical carpentry skills.
Good computer skills and the ability to learn specialist bathroom design software.
Ability to produce accurate bathroom layouts and product schedules.
Experience in warehouse stock management.
Full driving licence recognised in Ireland.
Good communication and customer service skills.
Good spoken and written English.

Desirable

Experience using bathroom planning or CAD software.
Experience in bathroom, tile or kitchen showrooms.
Experience installing bathroom furniture and sanitaryware.
Forklift or warehouse equipment experience (if applicable).
