Ocean Sands Hotel & Spa, Main Street, Inniscrone, Co. Sligo, F26 Y3Y9We are seeking an enthusiastic, professional, motivated and hardworking individual with a desire to provide excellent customer service. Role Requirements: Monitor and manage hotel occupancy, room revenue, departmental payroll costs, guest satisfaction scores and front-office performance, taking corrective action where operational or financial targets are not being achieved. Coordinate daily hotel operations across reception, accommodation, reservations and maintenance, ensuring appropriate staffing, efficient resource allocation and consistent delivery of the hotel’s service standards. Develop and implement departmental procedures, operational plans and service improvement initiatives, while reporting performance, staffing requirements, operational risks and guest-related issues to senior management. To establish and implement standards, ensuring all services offered are of the highest 4* quality and all employees are trained in the delivery of the same. Identify and analyse operational challenges and facilitate the development of solutions to prevent reoccurrence. To liaise with the accommodation and maintenance department daily to ensure that potential issues are dealt with in a controlled manner. Ability to develop and sustain productive customer relationships; actively seeking information to understand and address customers' needs. Providing guidance and direction to team members, including setting performance standards and monitoring performance. Manages staffing levels to ensure that guest service, operational needs, and financial objectives are met through forward planning. To ensure compliance in relation to Health & Safety and statutory requirements. Displays leadership in guest hospitality, exemplifies excellent customer service and creates a positive atmosphere for guest relations. Ability to recruit, train, develop and retain team members. Prepare and manage annual departmental budgets and forecasts for the hotel, controlling payroll, cost of sales and operating expenditure against target. The Candidate: A recognised qualification in Hospitality Management, Hotel Management or a closely related field, together with at least 1-2 years’ relevant experience in hotel operations. Strong experience managing staffing levels, operational performance, guest service standards, departmental costs and day-to-day hotel activities within a high-volume 3-star or 4-star property. Strong, professional communication skills are essential, both oral and written. Fully competent in the property management system, HOTSOFT or similar PMS. The ability to work under pressure, on their own initiative and have a passion for the hospitality business.
