Role Overview

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Financial and Accounting Technicians/Manager to join our growing team in Limerick. This is a full-time, on-site position offering the opportunity to work with a diverse portfolio of clients across multiple industries.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing financial records, preparing management accounts and financial statements, ensuring compliance with accounting and tax regulations, and providing valuable financial insights to support both clients and internal management. This role requires strong technical accounting knowledge, excellent analytical skills, and the ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Maintain accurate financial records and bookkeeping for a portfolio of clients.
Prepare monthly management accounts, including Balance Sheet and Profit & Loss statements.
Prepare and reconcile balance sheet accounts.
Compute and prepare VAT, PAYE, Corporation Tax, and other statutory tax returns as required.
Ensure timely preparation and submission of tax returns and statutory filings.
Retrieve, organize, and maintain accounting documentation received from clients.
Manage multiple client assignments while ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
Respond to client queries and provide professional financial and accounting advice.
Assist clients with budgeting, cash flow management, and financial planning.
Prepare financial reports and provide meaningful analysis to support management decision-making.
Ensure timely processing of financial transactions and payments.
Assist in the development and implementation of financial management initiatives and process improvements.
Liaise with clients, auditors, financial institutions, and regulatory authorities where necessary.
Ensure compliance with Irish accounting standards, tax legislation, and company policies.
Supervise and support junior staff where applicable.
Qualifications
Accounting Technician qualification, Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (ACA, ACCA, CPA, CIMA or equivalent qualification is an advantage).
Proven experience in bookkeeping, accounting, and financial reporting.
Strong knowledge of preparing and analysing financial statements.
Advanced Microsoft Excel skills and strong analytical ability.
Solid understanding of accounting principles
Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple assignments simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
