The Logistics and Freight Forwarder is responsible for coordinating and managing international freight forwarding and logistics operations to ensure the efficient movement of customer shipments across global supply chains. The role involves planning, executing, monitoring, and controlling import and export shipments while ensuring compliance with customs regulations, transportation requirements, customer service standards, and company procedures. The position supports multimodal freight operations and contributes to operational excellence, customer satisfaction, and business growth.

Responsibilities:
Coordinate international import and export shipments across air, ocean, and road freight
Manage end-to-end freight movements, ensuring timely delivery and operational efficiency
Liaise with carriers, agents, customs authorities, overseas offices, and customers to ensure smooth shipment execution
Arrange bookings, transportation, and cost-effective multimodal logistics solutions
Track shipments and resolve delays or operational issues while maintaining service levels
Prepare and process customs documentation, ensuring compliance with Irish, EU, and international trade regulations
Coordinate Dangerous Goods and GDP-compliant shipments where applicable
Deliver excellent customer service through proactive communication and issue resolution
Prepare freight quotations and support customers with tailored transport solutions
Use CargoWise and other logistics systems to manage shipments, milestones, and documentation
Maintain accurate operational data, invoicing, cost allocations, and reporting records
Collaborate with internal teams, customers, and business partners while providing operational support and holiday cover as required

Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Transport, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, International Business, or a related discipline
Minimum three years' experience in freight forwarding, international logistics, transport operations, or supply chain management
Experience managing import and export freight movements
Experience in customs clearance activities and international trade documentation
Experience within GDP-regulated logistics environments is desirable
Dangerous Goods handling experience is desirable
Strong understanding of international freight forwarding operations
Knowledge of air freight, sea freight, and road freight processes
Understanding of customs regulations, international trade documentation, and transport compliance requirements
Knowledge of supply chain and logistics best practices
