Salary: €36,605-€39,520 p.a.
Hours: 39 hours per week

Job Summary

HighCare Childcare is a purpose-built early years facility in Ballincollig, Co. Cork. We are looking for a caring, enthusiastic and motivated Playgroup Leader to join our team.
The successful candidate will provide quality early childhood care and education for children aged 1 to 6 years, supporting their learning, development and wellbeing in a safe, caring and stimulating environment.

Key Responsibilities

	Provide high-quality care and education for children aged 1 to 6 years.
	Plan and deliver age-appropriate play and learning activities.
	Support children's learning, development and wellbeing through daily activities.
	Ensure the safety, health and welfare of all children in your care.
	Assist in planning and implementing the curriculum in line with the Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
	Observe children's progress and maintain appropriate records.
	Build positive relationships with children, parents and colleagues.
	Maintain a safe, clean and welcoming environment.
	Follow all childcare policies, safeguarding procedures and health and safety requirements.
	Participate in team meetings and ongoing training.

Qualifications and Experience

	QQI/FETAC Level 6 or higher (or equivalent recognised qualification) in Early Childhood Care and Education.
	Experience working with children aged 1 to 6 years in an early years setting.
	Knowledge of the Aistear and Síolta frameworks.
	Excellent spoken and written English.
	Strong communication and organisational skills with the ability to work as part of a team.
	First Aid or Children First training and experience in planning play-based learning activities would be an advantage.
