Our Kerry-based client is seeking an experienced Nesting Technician / CAD-CAM Programmer to join their highly skilled engineering and steel fabrication team. This role is suited to candidates with experience in CAD, CAM, 3D laser programming, or precision manufacturing who are looking to work with advanced fabrication technology. You will be responsible for preparing accurate production data, developing bespoke programmes, and supporting efficient manufacturing processes across a range of engineering projects. This is a permanent, full time position.

Key Responsibilities:
- Create and optimise CAD/CAM programmes for advanced 3D laser cutting and fabrication processes.
- Develop bespoke programmes to support efficient and accurate production requirements.
- Interpret 2D engineering drawings, 3D models, STEP files, and Bills of Materials.
- Verify design data and ensure accuracy before production release.
- Optimise nesting and material usage within a steel fabrication environment.
- Work closely with engineering and production teams to improve manufacturing workflows.
- Support troubleshooting and continuous improvement initiatives within engineering operations.
- Maintain accurate documentation and production records.
 
Qualifications & Experience:
- Experience working with CAD/CAM systems within manufacturing, fabrication, or engineering environments.
- Knowledge of 3D laser cutting, CNC, or automated manufacturing processes is desirable.
- Ability to read and understand engineering drawings and technical specifications.
- Experience in steel fabrication or mechanical engineering environments would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail, problem-solving ability, and a willingness to learn.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a skilled technical team.
