The Clinical Tutor in Midwifery supports the teaching and learning of midwifery students in clinical practice settings for the Higher Diploma in Midwifery programme and the BSc. in Midwifery programme. The role also involves teaching, assessment, and examination of undergraduate (BSc in Midwifery) and postgraduate (Higher Diploma in Midwifery) theoretical modules in classroom and clinical skills laboratory settings. In addition, the Clinical Tutor will undertake student supervision and mentoring duties as assigned by the Head of School. The Clinical Tutor in Midwifery will be based between the School of Nursing and Midwifery at Trinity College Dublin and the linked Maternity Health Service Providers: the Coombe Hospital and the Rotunda Hospital. They will be provided with shared offices/workspaces in the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Trinity College Dublin premises at 24 D’Olier Street, Dublin 2. The appointee will work closely with the Head of School, the Head of Discipline and other discipline members. Post status: Permanent Contract Hours of Post: 39 hours per week Salary: Salary: This appointment will be made on the Nurse Tutor Scale (€73,793 - €82,809) at a point in line with current Government pay policy. monthly/weekly payscales.
