Viastar Limited are currently looking for a Maintenance Fitter to be responsible for installing, repairing,
maintaining, and modifying mechanical machinery, heavy agricultural equipment, and structural
metalwork at their site located at Carnaross, Kells, Co. Meath and Kilmaglish, Mullingar, Co. Westmeath.
The primary goal is to perform preventative and reactive maintenance to maximize equipment uptime,
ensure smooth logistical operations, and uphold strict animal welfare and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
 Routine servicing and fault-finding on mechanical systems, hydraulic setups, pneumatic systems,
pumps, and heavy transport/handling machinery.
 Executing planned preventative maintenance schedules to reduce equipment failure and operational
downtime.
Diagnosing and resolving urgent mechanical breakdowns and equipment failures.
 Performing on-site metal fabrication, cutting, and welding to repair gates, cattle pens, feeding systems,
trailers, and agricultural tools.
 Ensuring all maintenance activities comply with Irish health and safety regulations (HSA).
Minimum of 1-3 years’ experience in a similar role essential.
Remuneration is €36,605 per annum based on 39 hours per week.
