Duties
This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.
General maintenance duties are to include both mechanical and manual operations and will cover the broad spectrum of grounds/garden maintenance. Duties to include edging, grass cutting, weeding, planting trees, shrubs and seasonal bedding, pruning, small tree works, and any other gardening tasks associated with the Barrow Experience. Clean all water features and irrigation systems as required. To ensure that the Barrow Experience complies with all regulations relating to its Organic Status from the Department ie using only organic weed-killer, fertilizer etc. Minor repairs including; painting woodwork, Railings and walls as required. Ensure all pathways are clear and clean at all times. Remove all litter and rubbish. Clean and disinfect all litter bins and replace liners as required. Prepare the gardens for use by service users during the week, ensuring that all areas are safe and obstacle free. Prepare the gardens for use by visitors at week-end’s during the summer Tourism season as required.
