Job Description:

Accurately interpret and process prescriptions while ensuring compliance with all legal, clinical, professional, and regulatory requirements.
Assist with the preparation, labelling, packaging, and dispensing of prescription and over-the-counter medications under the supervision of a pharmacist.
Maintain effective inventory control by monitoring stock levels, expiry dates, batch numbers, and product traceability to ensure continuous availability and compliance.
Follow and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for the safe handling, storage, preparation, and distribution of medicines.
Support medication reconciliation by reviewing patient medication histories, identifying discrepancies, and referring concerns to the pharmacist.
Maintain accurate records relating to prescriptions, stock movement, controlled drugs, and medication supply.
Assist patients and customers with prescription collection, medication availability, and over-the-counter products, referring clinical queries to the pharmacist when required.

Key Requirements:

Practical experience in a retail or hospital pharmacy environment, including handling prescription and over-the-counter medications.
Experience with medication dispensing processes, including prescription entry, labelling, packaging, preparation, and verification workflows.
Hands-on experience using pharmacy management systems for billing, prescription processing, inventory management, and medication tracking.
Experience in inventory and stock control, including stock ordering, expiry-date monitoring, batch traceability, and stock rotation.
Familiarity with controlled-drug handling, storage, documentation, and record-keeping requirements.
Strong attention to detail, organisational skills, and the ability to work accurately within pharmacy procedures.
Ability to work effectively under pharmacist supervision and communicate professionally with patients, colleagues, suppliers, and healthcare professionals.
