Job Title: Mathematics Teacher (IB Middle Years Programme & IB Diploma Programme)
Employment Type: Full-time
Duration of Employment: Permanent
Proposed Start Date: 1 September 2026 (or as soon as possible thereafter)
Hours of Work: 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday
Minimum Annual Salary: €38,000 per annum (depending on experience and qualifications)
About the Role
SEK International School Dublin is seeking to appoint a dynamic, enthusiastic and committed Mathematics Teacher to join our academic team. The successful candidate will inspire students to achieve their highest potential while delivering engaging, high-quality mathematics instruction within the International Baccalaureate (IB) Middle Years Programme (MYP) and Diploma Programme (DP).
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with colleagues to provide an innovative, student-centred learning environment and contribute to the continued development of the Mathematics Department.
Key Responsibilities
Teach Mathematics to students in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and IB Diploma Programme (DP).
Plan, prepare and deliver high-quality lessons aligned with the IB curriculum.
Assess, monitor and report on student progress.
Create a positive, inclusive and engaging classroom environment.
Contribute to curriculum planning and the ongoing development of the Mathematics Department.
Participate in departmental meetings, school events and professional development activities.
Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and the wider school community.
Essential Requirements
Degree in Mathematics, Engineering or a closely related discipline.
Recognised teaching qualification eligible for Teaching Council registration in Ireland.
Excellent command of English (minimum C1 level).
Previous experience teaching Mathematics at secondary school level.
Strong organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
Desirable Requirements
Experience teaching within the International Baccalaureate (IB) framework.
Experience working in an international school environment.
Ability to contribute to wider school life through extracurricular activities.
