Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties will include:

Cleaning and maintaining all rooms and communal areas to a high standard
Sweeping, vacuuming, washing floors
Cleaning windows, worktops, tables and other surfaces
Dusting and polishing furniture and fittings
Cleaning and restocking toilets
Monitoring cleaning products and informing the supervisor when supplies need to be reordered
Assisting with setting up rooms for activities, meetings and community groups
Providing assistance in the kitchen with the daily preparation of meals (only if required)
Following all hygiene, food safety and health and safety procedures
Carrying out other reasonable duties as required

Applicants must provide suitable character references and be prepared to complete the Garda vetting process.

This position would suit someone who is dependable, willing to learn and comfortable working as part of a team.
