Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

St. Brigid’s Family and Community Centre Community Employment scheme have a vacancy for a Youth Programme Planning Assistant based at Children's Group link Military Road Waterford.

Children’s Group Link provides a range of programs, activities, supports, and services for its members whose core age range is from 10 – 24 years. The person appointed will assist in the organising and coordination of recreational activities for these young people. Duties of the position will include the following:-
	Coordinate daily schedules and activity plans as required.
	Assist with implementation and lead or co-lead the planned activities using prepared curriculum and program materials.
	Aid the preparation, arranging, and maintenance of indoor and outdoor activity areas.
	Research new games, programs, or activities that can be introduced.
	Support and participate in the After-School Homework & Activity Clubs.
	Supervise young people during indoor and outdoor activities as well as on field trips.
	Support the administrative function that underpins the programs and activities on offer.  
  
Evening and weekend work will apply.
Good command of the English language both verbal and written desirable. The person appointed will need to have an interest and aptitude for youth work.
