Swift Fuel Group Limited is looking to hire Technical Engineer (Electronics and Automation) SOC 2124 to work with them at The Waterfront, Rathmullan, Drogheda, Co Louth, A92HH75, Ireland. The job is permanent full time starting on 13/09/2026 at a salary of 36,610 euros annually and 37.5 hours work weekly.

Job Duties :
-Design, implement, and maintain electronic control and automation systems across Company's retail facilities.
-Monitor the performance of PLC, SCADA, and automated process control systems to ensure efficient and reliable operations.
-Diagnose and resolve faults in electronic, electrical, and automation equipment to minimise operational downtime.
-Develop and execute preventive maintenance programmes for automated equipment, instrumentation, and control systems.
-Configure, test, and commission automation hardware and software for new installations and system upgrades.
-Analyse system performance data and recommend engineering improvements to enhance efficiency, productivity, and energy usage.
-Ensure electronic and automation systems comply with Irish health and safety legislation, environmental regulations, and industry standards.
-Coordinate with maintenance, operations, and external contractors during equipment installation, commissioning, and major maintenance activities.
-Prepare and maintain technical documentation, including engineering drawings, system specifications, maintenance records, and operating procedures.
-Support the integration of new technologies, sensors, instrumentation, and smart monitoring solutions into existing operational systems.
-Conduct root cause analysis of equipment failures and implement corrective and preventive engineering solutions.
-Provide technical guidance and training to maintenance and operational staff on the safe operation and troubleshooting of automated systems.
-Manage engineering projects relating to electrical, instrumentation, and automation improvements, ensuring delivery within agreed budgets and timelines.
-Liaise with equipment manufacturers and suppliers to specify, procure, and evaluate electronic and automation equipment and spare parts.
-Continuously identify opportunities to improve process automation, system reliability, product quality, and operational efficiency across food, beverage, and fuel business operations.

Qualification & Experience:
The candidate must have a degree or higher level qualification in English, Computer, Engineering etc. 
An elective or 0-1 years experience working in a similar profile
