Part-Time Van Driver & Sports Assistant – Afterschool Gymnastics Programme

We are looking for a reliable, energetic and friendly person to join our team as a Part-Time Van Driver & Sports Assistant from September 2026. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys supporting youth activities, is confident driving a van, and is happy to help with the practical side of running our afterschool gymnastics programme. No coaching qualification is required, as you will work alongside an experienced coach who leads all activities.

The Role
Your main responsibility is to help ensure our afterschool gymnastics sessions run smoothly from start to finish. This includes managing equipment, supporting set-up and pack-down, and assisting during sessions when needed.

Key duties include:

Driving the van to and from afterschool gymnastics sessions

Loading and unloading gymnastics equipment

Setting up equipment and preparing the hall before sessions

Packing away equipment afterwards

Keeping the van organised and equipment ready for the next session

Assisting our coach during sessions

Helping create a positive, friendly and safe environment for participants

Supporting the general running of sessions

Taking care of equipment and maintaining organisation

What We’re Looking For
The ideal candidate will be:

Reliable and punctual

A confident van driver with a full, valid driving licence

Comfortable lifting and moving gymnastics equipment

Friendly, energetic and approachable

Comfortable working in an afterschool activity environment

A good team player

Responsible and safety‑conscious

Willing to help wherever needed

Experience in youth activities, sports, camps, schools or clubs is desirable, though not essential. Most importantly, we are looking for someone dependable, positive and genuinely interested in supporting our programme.

Hours
This is a part-time role built around afterschool gymnastics sessions. It involves travelling to venues, preparing the hall before sessions and packing away afterwards. Applicants should be comfortable with the practical and physical nature of the job.

Start date: September 2026

Why Join Us?
You will join a friendly team delivering fun and engaging gymnastics activities. This role suits someone seeking part-time work, especially those with an interest in sport, youth activities or community programmes. You will not be expected to lead coaching; instead, you will play a key supporting role that helps sessions run smoothly.
