JB Business Co. Limerick is seeking a motivated Deli Assistants to join our friendly team. This is an excellent opportunity for a reliable, customer-focused individual to build a stable career in Irish retail and food service, with full training provided and subsidised shared accommodation available locally.
Starting pay is €14.15 per hour. Subsidised shared staff accommodation is offered in the Kilmallock/Bruree area, with rent between €100 and €150 per week. We provide comprehensive training in HACCP, food safety, and Irish retail standards, along with ongoing support and opportunities to progress into supervisory roles.
The role involves preparing and serving fresh deli products, delivering excellent customer service, maintaining strict hygiene and HACCP standards, monitoring food temperatures, managing stock rotation, and keeping the deli area clean and well-presented. You will work closely with the Deli Person in Charge (PIC) and the wider store team.
We welcome applications from EU citizens and anyone with the legal right to work in Ireland. Previous deli, food, or retail experience is an advantage but not essential — a positive attitude and willingness to learn matter most.
 Applicants must be legally entitled to work within Ireland and the EU.
 Applicants must have a good command of the English language.
 Reliable, hygiene-conscious, and detail-oriented
 Strong communication and teamwork skills
 Self-motivated with a positive, can-do attitude
 Garda Vetting / Police Clearance from country of residence required before commencement
 Previous deli, food, or retail experience is desirable but not essential
 €14.15 per hour starting pay
 Subsidised shared accommodation (€100–€150 per week)
 Full training in HACCP, food safety, and Irish retail standards
 Stable, full-time role with minimum 6-month commitment
 Friendly rural community in Co. Limerick
 Support obtaining a PPS number and opening an Irish bank account on arrival
 Internal development and leadership training opportunities, subject to performance

 Preparing and serving fresh deli products to customers
 Providing friendly, efficient customer service
 Following HACCP regulations and maintaining high hygiene standards
 Monitoring food temperatures and stock rotation to minimise waste
 Keeping the deli area clean, organised, and well-presented
 Supporting the Deli PIC and working effectively as part of the team
