Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Working as part of a team, you will assist us in keeping our GAA grounds in Bettystown and Laytown to a high standard.

Duties and responsiblities:
- Work to a weekly schedule agreed with CE Supervisor and Club committee
- Cut grass on pitches and sidelines
- Line and mark pitches as needed
- Prepare grounds for training and matches including putting out flags and tidying away afterwards
- Strimming banks and hedges
- Astro pitch sweeping
- Minor goalpost repairs
- Litter picking and weeding
- Car park stewarding during matches and busy periods
- Safe use and storage or tools and equipment
- Keeping lockup containers clean and tidy

Full training provided.  An interest in the GAA and gaelic games an advantage but not essential.  Participants need to be flexible and willing to learn.  This is a varied role, involving outdoor physical work all year round.
