Job Title: Early Years Educator
Employer: The Play Base Early Years Ltd T/A Buttercup Creche
Locations: Buttercup Creche, Landscape Road, Churchtown, Dublin 14, D14 W218
Salary: 37,544 p.a.
Hours: 40hrs/wk

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 
Responsible for ensuring the safety and wellbeing of children aged 1-5 years in an early years setting. Supervises children at all times and provides a safe, secure and positive environment. Treats children with respect and delivers activities including games, songs, storytelling and indoor and outdoor play that support children's physical, emotional, social and intellectual development.
Plans and implements age-appropriate activities in line with the setting's curriculum framework and completes child observations and curriculum plans. Establishes routines, provides positive guidance, supports children when required and promotes inclusion for all children, including those with additional needs.
Maintains high standards of health, safety and hygiene, ensuring equipment and facilities are clean, safe and well maintained. Completes daily records, observations, curriculum plans, cleaning records and accident reports in accordance with policies and procedures.
Maintains positive relationships with parents, carers and colleagues, communicates with parents regarding children's daily activities and needs, attends staff meetings and follows all childcare, safeguarding and operational policies.

Requirements: 
Minimum FETAC Level 5 in Early Childhood Care and Education (Level 6 preferred), Paediatric First Aid certification, Garda/Police Vetting clearance, knowledge of relevant childcare legislation and curriculum frameworks, excellent communication skills, ability to work as part of a team, good organisational skills and enthusiasm for working with young children.
