The Glenmalure Lodge is a welcoming country lodge and restaurant set in the heart of the Wicklow Mountains. We pride ourselves on serving high-quality, freshly prepared food in a warm and friendly atmosphere, catering to locals, tourists, walkers, and groups throughout the year.

We are looking for a passionate and reliable Chef to join our wonderful kitchen team and help deliver consistently excellent food and service.

The Role

As Chef, you will be responsible for preparing and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen organisation. This is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working in a busy hospitality environment and wants to be part of a supportive team.

Key Responsibilities

Prepare and cook high-quality meals to a consistent standard.
Assist with menu planning and the development of seasonal specials.
Maintain excellent food hygiene and HACCP standards.
Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering and stock rotation.
Minimise food waste and manage portion control.
Work collaboratively with the front-of-house and kitchen teams.
Ensure the kitchen is clean, organised, and fully compliant with health and safety regulations.
What We're Looking For

Previous experience as a Chef or Sous Chef in a busy kitchen.
Strong knowledge of food preparation and presentation.
Ability to work calmly under pressure.
Excellent organisational and communication skills.
A positive attitude and strong work ethic.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
Own travel essential as no public transport.
Accommodation not provided unfortunately.
