Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

The participant will be responsible for carrying out tasks as directed by the supervisor, which may involve the use of various machines and tools. These duties include the care and maintenance of the GAA Complex and its surrounding areas. Responsibilities may involve general DIY tasks, cleaning, painting, litter picking, grass cutting, and line marking on the pitch. The participant may also work in collaboration with other groups that support the community. 
While carrying out the duties of this role, the employee will often be exposed to outdoor weather conditions.
