Donegal Centre for Independent Living (DCIL) is currently recruiting a Personal Assistant (for our leader within the Carrigart/Cresslough area, part time hours. 
 Our operations are based on the social model of disability, which emphasises that people with disabilities should not be defined by their impairments, but rather by the barrier’s society places in their way. ​ 
The role 
Working to the agenda of the 'Leader', a Personal Assistant (PA) enables the person with the disability to make their own decisions and be in control of their own life. A PA undertakes a variety of tasks under the direction of the Leader, ranging from personal care, educational, workplace, family & social supports to household assistance etc.​

 About you 
A positive attitude and respectful approach to supporting individuals with disabilities. 
QQI modules in Care Skills and Care of the Older Person (or be willing to complete these while working with us). 

Full, clean driving licence.

We require all employees to complete a Garda Vetting application before they start working with DCIL's Service Users.
