About the Role: We are a busy motor factor and automotive paints business based in Dublin, supplying high-quality automotive parts, accessories and paint products to trade customers (garages, body shops and workshops) and retail clients. We are seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Quality Assurance Technician – Automotive Parts to join our team. The successful candidate will carry out technical inspections and quality checks on incoming and outgoing automotive parts and related products to ensure they meet required standards and specifications. Key Responsibilities: Perform technical inspections and quality checks on incoming automotive parts, components and paint-related products to detect defects, damage or non-conformances. Verify parts against purchase orders, technical specifications and quality standards. Use appropriate measuring equipment and visual inspection techniques to assess dimensional accuracy, fit, finish and overall condition. Identify, quarantine and document non-conforming or defective items and prepare clear inspection reports. Report quality issues promptly and support corrective actions with suppliers or internal teams. Assist in maintaining and improving quality control procedures and processes within the warehouse/motor parts operation. Liaise with warehouse, purchasing and management staff to ensure consistent quality standards are maintained. Support continuous improvement of quality systems and help reduce the risk of defective stock reaching customers. Essential Requirements: Strong attention to detail and a methodical approach to technical inspection work. Minimum 3 years of previous experience in quality assurance, quality control, parts inspection or a related technical role (preferably in automotive, manufacturing or distribution). Ability to use basic measuring instruments and interpret technical information/specifications. Reliable, organised and able to work both independently and as part of a team. Physically capable of working in a warehouse/parts environment (standing, lifting and handling of parts). Desirable Experience with automotive parts or paint products. Familiarity with quality management systems or non-conformance procedures. Previous warehouse or motor factor experience.
