Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

To undertake maintenance and upkeep of Hope House in Foxford:
General maintenance of the buildings and surrounding grounds to include but not an exhaustive list:
•	Painting of internal and external areas,
•	General cleaning and upkeep of the buildings, e.g., repair of doors, windows, light fittings, etc.
•	General maintenance and upkeep of gardens
•	Upkeep of flower beds and paved areas at properties, weeding, grass cutting, strimming, and planting.
•	Oversee disposal of rubbish from properties. This will include general and recyclable waste.
•	Conduct inspection of premises on a scheduled, structured basis.
•	Report any defects, or actions required at properties to the supervisor in a prompt manner.
•	Be available for duty, when required, over weekends, and at out-of-office hours. This would be an occasional \ exceptional requirement.


Essential
•	Proficient oral and written communication skills 
•	Professional and friendly manner
•	Willingness to undertake Health and Safety training.


Desirable for this position
•	Some experience in a caretaker role
•	A passion for community development
