We are seeking a reliable and motivated Dairy Farm Assistant to join our modern dairy farm on a full-time, permanent basis. The successful candidate will support the day-to-day operation of the farm, ensuring high standards of animal welfare, milk quality, hygiene, and health and safety are maintained.

Main Duties

Milking cows using modern milking equipment and maintaining milk quality standards.

Feeding livestock and monitoring animal health and welfare.

Assisting with calving, calf rearing, and general animal husbandry.

Cleaning and maintaining milking parlours, sheds, and farm equipment.

Operating farm machinery and equipment safely where appropriate.

Moving livestock between paddocks and assisting with grazing management.

Carrying out fencing, maintenance, and general farm duties.

Following farm safety, hygiene, and biosecurity procedures at all times.

Recording relevant herd and production information as required.

Key Requirements

Minimum of 2 years' practical dairy farming experience in a commercial dairy farm environment.

Experience with milking cows and general livestock management.

Knowledge of animal welfare, milk hygiene, and farm biosecurity practices.

Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Good physical fitness and willingness to work outdoors in all weather conditions.

Reliable, hardworking, and committed to maintaining high farm standards.

Basic spoken and written English sufficient to follow farm instructions and health and safety procedures
