Assist the pharmacist with the safe and efficient day-to-day operation of the pharmacy.
Receive, prepare, label and dispense prescription medicines under the supervision of a registered pharmacist.
Process prescriptions accurately using the pharmacy’s dispensing software.
Prepare monitored dosage systems and blister packs under pharmacist supervision.
Monitor stock levels and order medicines and pharmacy supplies as required.
Ensure medicines are stored correctly, including refrigerated and controlled medicines where applicable.
Comply with all pharmacy policies, standard operating procedures and relevant legislation.
Assist in maintaining accurate patient medication records.
Assist patients with general enquiries and refer clinical questions to the pharmacist.
Maintain the confidentiality of patient information in accordance with data-protection requirements.
