Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

	To undertake all duties as required by South West Wexford Family Resource Centre.  Support and develop the projects youth programmes in conjunction with local volunteers and other workers, as appropriate.  Be involved in the planning, facilitation and evaluation of youth activities within the project and assisting with the various camps i.e. Summer Camp; Halloween Camp
Assist with the setting up, organising and facilitation of the Youth Café to include Stock taking; ordering of Stock and taking care of the Finance, family Support  Worker in developing family support activities.   Ensure a safe and hygienic environment for all youth activities.  Work with the youth to set simple guidelines/code of practice so as to encourage a positive approach to discipline.  To be vigilant on any areas of concern seeking advice where appropriate.  Work as part of a team with the other staff, youths and parents.  Keep records/files as required on all information relating to youth programmes.  Regularly update Records; Membership Forms of young people in Fusion Café; Telephone numbers of mobiles etc.  
Work with the Family Support Worker in sourcing funds and completing funding Applications of youth activities.  Attend and participate in meetings, training and supervision sessions and to attend relevant seminars/conferences where appropriate.  Work in Parent and Toddler Group on Tuesday.  Time Sheets to be filled in correctly and handed in to CE Supervisor on a weekly basis.  Any other duties which may reasonably be requested by Management and Senior staff.  Maintain strict confidentiality with regard to all aspects of the project work both during and outside of working hours.
