Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Support Youth Worker:
Manor St. John Youth Services is a progressive youth service providing educational, developmental and recreational opportunities and programs to, young people between the ages of 10 and 25 years in a professional, safe and fun environment.

Role Specifics;
The role will be assisting Youth Leaders in providing educational, developmental and recreational opportunities and programs. (Examples of Programs include; STEM Club, Newsletter Club, Young Adventurer Club, Homework Club, Health & Nutrition Program, Summer Camps)
Programs are delivered in a professional and fun Environment both onsite at MSJ Facilities  and in various offsite locations.
The role involves working with children and young adults aged 10 - 25 years.
Programmes are delivered during school hours (mainly Lunchtime support Clubs), afterschool (Afternoon & early evening) and during school holidays (Full Days).  (Hours Rostered based on Term plans).

Excellent communication skills, flexibility along with an interest in working with children and young adults are critical to this role. 

This is a great opportunity for somebody wishing to gain some experience in this area as a stepping stone to developing a career in this field.
On the job training will be provided via mentoring and coaching
Successful candidate will also be provided with the opportunity to complete both accredited and non accredited Training.
Successful candidate will also be provided with career coaching and assistance in terms of  job searching, CV preparation,  and interview skills.
