We are looking for 3 Concrete Shuttering Carpenter who will be responsible for constructing, installing, and dismantling temporary formwork and shuttering structures used to support concrete during construction. The role requires accurate measurements, strong carpentry skills, and the ability to work safely on construction sites.
Key Responsibilities
•	Read and interpret construction drawings, plans, and specifications.
•	Measure, mark, cut, and assemble timber, plywood, steel, and other materials for concrete formwork.
•	Construct and install shuttering/formwork for foundations, walls, columns, beams, slabs, staircases, and other concrete structures.
•	Ensure formwork is accurately aligned, level, plumb, and securely supported before concrete is poured.
•	Install supports, braces, props, and other reinforcement to ensure the stability of shuttering.
•	Check dimensions and measurements to ensure work meets construction specifications.
•	Apply release agents to formwork where required.
•	Assist with the preparation and pouring of concrete and ensure formwork remains secure during the process.
•	Safely dismantle and remove shuttering after concrete has sufficiently cured.
•	Clean, maintain, and store tools and shuttering materials appropriately.
•	Carry out repairs and adjustments to damaged or defective formwork.
•	Work closely with site managers, engineers, bricklayers, concrete workers, and other construction personnel.
•	Follow all site health and safety procedures, including the correct use of PPE.
•	Maintain a clean and safe working area and report hazards or unsafe conditions.
•	Complete work efficiently and to a high standard while meeting project deadlines.
Skills and Requirements
•	Previous experience as a Shuttering Carpenter/Formwork Carpenter.
•	Good knowledge of concrete formwork and shuttering techniques.
•	Ability to read construction drawings and take accurate measurements.
•	Skilled in using carpentry hand tools and power tools.
•	Good understanding of construction site health and safety requirements.
•	Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
•	Physically fit and capable of working in demanding site conditions.
•	Ability to work at heights and in different weather conditions where required.
•	Ability to work independently and as part of a construction team.
•	Relevant carpentry/formwork qualification or apprenticeship is desirable.
Main Objective of the Role
To construct safe, accurate, and secure formwork and shuttering systems that meet the required drawings, dimensions, quality standards, and safety regulations, ensuring concrete structures are formed correctly and efficiently.
