Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.

Caretaker position available in the Farranree Community Centre. The role requires someone who is reliable and enjoys working with others and the general public.  No experience is necessary as training will be provided.  The suitable candidate must be reliable, be a good time-keeper and be flexible regarding working hours and rosters. You will be joining a team of 6 others.  Your role involves responsibility for the security and assisting in the day to day running of the community centre as well as upkeep, maintenance and cleaning of the building. Meals on Wheels will be a play key part of your role, preparation, cooking and organising the meals for delivery to the recipients in the local area. You will accompany the drivers and deliver the meals on wheels to those in the community who avail of this service. The role involves morning, afternoon and evening shifts with weekend work also.
