Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Sessional Service - 38 weeks, 24.5 hours per week to build up toil for school holidays.

Duties to include:
Comfortable working with children and interested in learning more about working with children using a child-centred approach;

Open to learning about Aistear and how to implement it in a pre-school setting;
Comfortable working as part of a team and helping to support the daily activities being carried out with children;
Willing to work alongside the staff and partake in daily cleaning and maintenance of the premises;
Willing to undertake child protection training and adhere to the pre-school's child protection policy;
Willing to make yourself familiar with the policies and procedures of the pre-school and sign up to the confidentiality policy of the Centre.
Garda Vetting required.
