Location: Letterkenny, County Donegal

Browne Printers Ltd is seeking an experienced lithographic printer to operate multicolour Heidelberg sheetfed offset printing presses.

The successful applicant will be responsible for independently setting up, operating and monitoring Heidelberg XL75 LE-UV press, producing high-quality commercial print efficiently and consistently.

Main duties:

• Setting up and operating multicolour Heidelberg sheetfed offset presses.

• Carrying out press make-ready, plate changing and job changeovers.

• Controlling ink and water balance, colour density, registration and print quality.

• Monitoring production throughout each press run.

• Identifying and correcting print, mechanical and feeder or delivery problems.

• Performing routine press cleaning and preventative maintenance.

• Checking job instructions, proofs, materials and finished printed sheets.

• Maintaining accurate production and quality records.

Requirements:

• Proven professional experience operating Heidelberg SM, XL or CD multicolour sheetfed offset presses.

• Ability to operate an offset press independently.

• Strong knowledge of colour control, registration, ink and water balance and paper handling.

• Ability to diagnose and resolve common press and print-quality problems.

• Good attention to detail and ability to work as part of a production team.

Employment terms:

• Full-time position.

• 39 hours per week.

• Minimum annual basic salary: €36,605.

• Hourly basic rate: €18.05.

• Proposed employment term: Permanent, subject to the successful completion of any required employment permit and immigration procedures.
