Role:
	To take charge of the milk intake, goods in check of raw materials and packaging and yogurt batch QC release testing and any other tasks as assigned by line Manager.
	To participate in quality tasks on a daily/ routine basis such as culture preparation, Packing, Metal Detection and dispatch checks.
	Base batch release; Yogurt Quality: Release of base yogurt for packing. 
	Collect samples from production and test as detailed in company procedures.
	Send base batch sample for microbiological analysis and record results (report any non-conformances), retain duplicate sample.
	Take part in traceability for Retailer and BRCGS Audits.
	Oversee quality issues in the plant.
	Address and or report any issues affecting Food Safety, Waste, Transport.

Skills & qualifications required:
	Diploma/Degree in Food Science/Food Technology/General Science.
	One year plus experience in a similar role in the Food Industry.
	Familiarity with the requirements of the BRCGS standard.
	Good communication skills both verbal and written and an ability to work on own initiative and prioritise.
	Good attention to detail.
	Good working knowledge of MS Office particularly in MS Excel.
	An aptitude for problem solving.
	An aptitude for informed decision making.
	Flexibility will be required as part of the role.
