Job Description: 

We are currently recruiting an experienced Production Cell Leader to join our factory team at our modern manufacturing facility in Athenry, Co. Galway.

The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating the daily workload of their production cell, supporting employees and ensuring production targets, quality standards and safety requirements are consistently met.

Key responsibilities

Plan and coordinate the team’s daily workload to meet production schedules and lead times.
Maintain a visible presence on the factory floor and communicate regularly with the production team.
Monitor employee attendance, performance and training records.
Train and supervise employees on relevant jobs, machinery and manufacturing processes.
Ensure all work meets the required quality standards and report any issues promptly.
Record production figures, scrap levels and other information required to maintain accurate stock and production records.
Ensure machinery is operated safely and that safety devices are never overridden.
Support continuous improvement initiatives within the production area.
Ensure employees understand and follow company policies and procedures.
Promote a respectful, positive and productive working environment.
Requirements

Previous experience as a Team Leader, Cell Leader or Supervisor in a manufacturing environment.
Good working knowledge of manufacturing processes and production equipment.
Strong planning, organisational and time-management skills.
Good communication and people-management skills.
Strong problem-solving ability.
Ability to work on your own initiative with minimal supervision.
A practical, hands-on approach and the ability to support the team when required.
Strong commitment to quality, safety and continuous improvement.
