This Work Placement Experience Programme provides Participants with an opportunity to gain meaningful work experience, learning and training while on the programme. This programme is for jobseekers who are in receipt of qualifying social welfare payments and those transferring from a social welfare scheme or an ETB Training Allowance. Your eligibility for this programme will be verified by the Department as part of the application process.
This WPEP work experience placement is at Kilkenny Group's head office where internal and external deliveries/orders are processed and shipped nationwide and globally. The participant will assist and learn techniques in: · Printing of online orders. · Fulfillment of online orders. · Details of requests to stores/special orders to be given to customer service. · Maintain the website floor and the allocation of space for stock. · Unpack orders and stock shelves as required. · Ensuring that health and safety regulations are adhered to. · Managing the warehouse space effectively. This is a training and work experience opportunity no prior experience in this role is necessary, training will be provided to support your placement.
This is a training and work experience opportunity, no prior experience in this role is necessary. Accredited and/or sector recognised training will be provided to support your placement. Participants are eligible to participate in the WPEP QQI Work Experience Module which was developed by the Education & Training Boards in collaboration with the Department of Social Protection. General Training: • Product packing - understanding best practices for packaging products securely and efficiently. • Shipping and labeling - learning proper methods for labeling and preparing items for shipment. • Goods in & out - managing incoming and outgoing stock effectively. • Picking and packing orders - developing skills in order fulfillment and accuracy. • Stock control - gaining experience in inventory management and maintaining stock levels. Sector Recognised Training: • E-learning modules will be provided to enhance knowledge in Health & Safety , including : • Manual Handling training to ensure safe lifting techniques. • General H&S awareness to promote a safe working environment. • Stock Control training on Wave OMS and Opsuite systems
