Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career.


We are looking for someone to assist us with the maintenance and upkeep of our busy soccer grounds and pitches in Laytown.  This is a varied role involving manual work outdoors all year round.  An interest in football and sports  is an advantage, but not essential, as full training and support will be provided.  Applicants need to be flexible, reliable, hard-working and willing to learn.

Duties:
- work to an agreed schedule of work agreed with the CE Supervisor and Club committee
- Sweeping out dressing rooms and clubhouse
- Line and mark pitches using line marking machine
- Strimming banks and hedges around the pitches
- Minor goalpost repairs
- Checking advertisement signs weekly and repair as needed
- Cleaning and maintenance of all tools and machinery before and after use
- Weeding 
- Regular litter picking on pitches and around Clubhouse
- Bring bins out for collection and bring them back next day 
- Small repairs and painting 
- Keeping work areas, storage compound  and container clean and tidy
- Safe use and storage of all tools and equipment
