Athgaine Mushrooms Ltd are currently seeking to recruit 20 Horticulture Operatives in Athgaine, Cortown, Kells , Co Meath

Overall Purpose of the Job: 
To work as part of a team, to deliver goals and objectives with a  focus on delivering the highest quality products.

The successful candidates will work as part of the team to fulfil Daily and Weekly production targets.
Work on own initiative and as part of a team.  Physical role including lifting, twisting, standing and working on heights.

Responsibilities:
Harvesting, collecting, packing and transfer of fresh mushrooms
Harvest mushrooms as per customer specification and product quality requirements (quality, size, stalk length and product type)
Ensure that the products presented are of the highest possible standard; with particular focus given to weights, sizing, stem length, punnet identification and presentation
Harvest mushrooms using One Touch Picking Technique to maintain the mushroom quality
Harvest mushrooms in line with Harvesting Standard Operational Procedures aimed to maximize the yield and preserve mushroom quality
Participate in continuous training and assessment
Maintain good hygiene standards, both personally and with work equipment
Adhere to food safety, health & safety rules  and hygiene standards in accordance with Company rules and industry regulations

Other Details:
 Minimum annual remuneration: €32,691 
 Standard working week 39 hours 
 Training in English language skills, company operating procedures will be provided. 
 Suitable accommodation will be made available.
