Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Responding to wildlife rescue call and enquiries. Co-ordinating rescue responses, transport and referrals where required. Liaising with the public, veterinary practices and other wildlife organisations. 

General administration and organisational support. Transporting contained wildlife between locations using the charity's van where appropriate. Keep the transport equipment clean, organised and ready for use. 

Sanctuary operations include routine animal husbandry and care, food preparation and feeding.  Maintaining records. Organising food, equipment and general stock. General sanctuary upkeep. Light practical and grounds maintenance work, including work associated with the planned renovation and refurbishment.
