Duffy Express Freight UC is looking for a reliable and professional Part-Time Van Driver to join our team on a 3-month temporary basis. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced driver looking for part-time work with an established transport and logistics company. The Role You will be responsible for the safe and efficient collection and delivery of goods to customers throughout Donegal and surrounding areas. The successful candidate will work independently on a daily delivery route while being supported by our Transport Office team. Key Duties • Complete daily deliveries and collections safely and efficiently • Load and unload freight safely • Ensure goods are secure and correctly loaded • Complete delivery and collection paperwork accurately • Obtain electronic Proof of Delivery (EPOD) or signed PODs • Take photographs of pallets/cases when required through the driver app • Keep delivery information updated on the company system • Report damaged, missing or incorrectly addressed freight • Communicate with the Transport Office regarding any delivery issues or delays • Provide professional and courteous customer service • Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects • Keep the company vehicle clean and tidy • Follow all road traffic, health & safety and company procedures What We're Looking For • Full Category B driving licence • Previous van driving or multi-drop delivery experience is an advantage • Reliable and punctual • Professional and customer-focused • Good communication skills • Able to work independently • Comfortable using a smartphone and delivery applications • Physically capable of loading and unloading goods • Good knowledge of Donegal and surrounding areas is desirable What We Offer • Part-time position • 3-month temporary contract • Work with an established local transport company • Company vehicle provided for work duties • Training provided on company systems and procedures • Support from our Transport Office and driving team Location: Newtowncunningham, Co.
