Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

County Kildare LEADER Partnership's new community car initiative which will allow people to avail of transport that current public transport does not provide them due to irregular schedules, for example older or isolated individuals attending hospital appointments.

Duties will include transporting passengers for eligible journeys door to door, assisting all passengers safely onto and off the vehicle/s at all times, driving with careful consideration for the safety and comfort of all passengers, ensuring that passengers conform to the seatbelt regulations.  To observe the ‘Rules of the Road’ and any statutory requirements relating to driving vehicles owned or leased by the Local Development Company. To assist passengers at their destination. To maintain the cleanliness of the vehicle on a daily basis both internally and externally.   

A responsible person with a full clean driving license is required
