Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Assistant cook required for a Community Centre to assist in providing hot meals for our afterschool  and older adults. The successful candidate will also be required to assist in baking fresh goods for other groups attending the centre. We are looking for someone hard working and reliable, who can work on their own initiative and is a good time keeper due to strict timelines. The successful candidate will work along side our head chef.
Duties will include:
* Preparing and cooking meals
* Menu planning
* Cleaning the kitchen & utensils
* Record keeping ( food, hygiene and safety) in line with current legislation and guidelines for best practice,
* Stock take, ordering and rotating stock
* Being aware of dietary and texture requirements.

Experience catering for large groups of people will be an advantage. This position is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to start their career as a chef.
You will be required to complete HACCP training prior to your commencement in this role- this training will be provided.
