Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

NearTV is looking for a person with experience in Camera Operation, and who has knowledge of the pre production process, to help with implementing Film and TV training to local community groups and also to work on productions such as documentary, magazine style programmes, community profiles as well as live programmes. Neartv engages with community groups in North Dublin with a focus on encouraging community development through media. The role may also include editing and sound recording duties, along with other visual media related skills.


A sound understanding of camera operation would be an advantage, along with knowledge of microsoft word and premiere pro.

Training delivery experience is also an advantage.


We are looking for someone with strong self-motivation, interested in developing their skills, good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well on teams.


Other tasks include:

Assist with the day-to-day office duties at NearTV as required

Assist in the quick turnaround of filmed events in the locality for DCTV (Virgin 802)

Assist with pre-production of shoots, call sheets, making contacts, location permissions etc. as required.

Editing and sound recording where needed
