Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Ironing to a high standard is essential
Sort clothes and linens by type, colour, and washing requirements; wash, dry, fold, and press items according to client or facility standards
Pre-treat stains and perform minor sewing or mending tasks as needed
Keep laundry rooms clean, organized, and hygienic; adhere to safety and sanitation policies
Fast paced environment
Physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for long periods
