Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Duties: Keep the perimeter of buildings clean. 
Carry out minor DIY as and when required.
Use initiative while keeping within organisation health and safety policies.
General cleaning duties - floors buffed, external maintenance - downstairs windows and doors cleaned, footpath and steps kept clean, outside garden regularly cut and weeded.
Keep store areas tidy and do regular stock take.
Help set and up and tidy up after meetings /external groups.
May have to provide some after hours security on occasion for external groups.
Collect recycled and food waste from areas adhering to waste management policy.
Mindful of Health and Safety and HACCP guidelines at all times (training provided).
Manual Handling (training provided).
Provide after hours security when and if required. 
Be able to identify requirements for proper upkeep of building.
Painting and decorating may be required.
