Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

Upkeep, maintenance and litter control of the complex daily;
Prepare rubbish bins for collection;
Washing of floors of communal areas indoors;
Upkeep and cleaning of any equipment;
Power washing all outdoor areas, regularly throughout the year;
Ensure manholes and drains/chutes are clear at all times;
Clean external including grounds, roads and pathways; 
General upkeep of all green areas and flower beds including grass cutting, planting and pruning;
Undertake small general duties/ maintenance in the childcare facility and entire building;
Deal with small maintenance issues e.g. carpentry – fix a chair; 
Work as part of the team;
Brush and mop floors daily, complete buffering of floors weekly;
General indoor cleaning or windows, sills, glass viewing panels, dusting;
Communicate effectively with team members and management;
Any other duties that may be assigned from time to time.
