Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

Applicants should supply suitable character references and be prepared to complete a Garda vetting application form.



Duties

This is a developmental opportunity, no experience necessary. Accredited training will be provided to support your career. 

The role of the Playschool Assistant will be to work as part of a childcare team in Huggie Bear's Preschool in the FAB Family Resource Centre based in Coolcott's Shopping Centre, Coolcott's , Wexford.

The work will involve working with toddler's, playschool children ,and the afterschool section.

The duties will include working with children and the childcare team , setting in motion programmes that will help the development of the children through learning and play.

This is an ideal opportunity to develop new skills through work experience and further education. The Playschool Manager and your Community Employment Supervisor will assist and mentor you at all stages during your time on the scheme.
