Eligibility to participate on CE is generally linked to those who are 21 years or over and in receipt of a qualifying social welfare payment for 1 year or more or 18 years and over for certain disadvantaged groups. Your eligibility will have to be verified by the Department.

CE Healthcare Assistant
Hours:  19.5 (14.5 hours in Homecare/Daycare and 5 hours QQI Level 5 Healthcare Training)

Role?              
You will be a Healthcare Assistant to Dementia clients in their own home or at our day services as required. Note- There will be a shadowing period in the beginning so you can learn from other Healthcare Assistants. No experience is necessary as you will be trained.
You will get the opportunity to gain a Level 5 Healthcare as part of this CE Scheme.

Responsibilities?

•	Visit clients in their own home or work at our day services for 14.5 hours per week;
•	Learn about dementia care;
•	Follow care plans as provided by our home care co-ordinator.
•	Complete 5 hours Level 5 training per week online or classroom as available.

What is Required?            
•	Willing to attend Patient Manual Handling course(paid for);
•       Complete Garda Vetting
•	Eligibility to work in Ireland;
•	Empathy, flexibility and a good work ethic;
•	A Full Drivers Licence and access to Transport is necessary.
