About the role
You will be responsible for the day-to-day operational management of the branch including sales, inventory management, merchandising, health & safety and maintaining retail excellence standards & procedures. You will also be responsible for collaborating with the Sales Liaison Manager in your area to drive performance, achieve targets while delivering the highest standards of goods and services to our suppliers & customers. The job location is in Newcastle West.

Key responsibilities
-The store manager will be responsible for one of our bigger stores:
-They will be managing people within the store
-Dealing customers at the counter and over the phone.
-Ordering goods and keeping the store fully stocked at all times
-Managing store, so that goods are not going out of date
-Researching new products to sell in the store
-Achieving sales targets
-Dealing with cash and squaring up all cash and credit transactions
-Collecting monies due and managing debtors
-Driving the forklift and manual handling
-Complying with all Health and safety guidelines
-Dealing with customer complaints
-Testing milk samples from time to time

Qualifications and skills
-The role is five and half days week with Saturdays mandatory
-Autonomy and responsiveness
-Passionate and enthusiastic
-Sales focused – identifying customers needs, suggesting relevant products or services and closing sales.
-The ability to understand and analyze sales figures.
-Excellent communication and people management skills
