Job Opportunity - Smyth Trailers EU Ltd.
Laser & Press Brake Operator Full-Time | Monday to Friday, 8:00am - 5:00pm
Smyth Trailers EU Ltd., situated in Carlow, is seeking a skilled and motivated individual to join our expanding production team. This role offers the opportunity to work with brand-new, state-of-the-art machinery, including a Trumpf 1040 6kW Fibre Laser Cutter and a Durma AD-S 37220 Press Brake equipped with DAM (Durma Advanced Measuring) technology, all within our newly built sheet metal processing area.
Role Responsibilities: • Operating the Trumpf 1040 6kW Fibre Laser Cutter • Loading sheets of steel onto the laser bed using an overhead crane and vacuum lifter • Unloading cut parts and organising them on pallets • Bending components using the Durma AD-S 37220 Press Brake with DAM (Durma Advanced Measuring) technology for precise angle control • Transporting completed parts to designated workstations or storing them • Maintaining a clean work area • Following the basic machine maintenance schedule • Ensuring accuracy, quality, and safety at all stages of production
Requirements (Mandatory): • Experience operating CNC Laser or CNC Plasma machines • Experience in a factory or manufacturing environment • Excellent work ethic and strong attention to detail • Very good English and excellent communication skills • Enthusiastic, forward-thinking, and able to work effectively within a team • Comfortable with labour-intensive, hands-on tasks
Desirable but not necessary: • Ability to use nesting software and SolidWorks
