The Supply Chain Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, and delivering supply chain–related projects that support restaurant operations across the business. This includes managing supplier initiatives, logistics improvements, cost control projects, and system or process changes while ensuring continuity of supply, quality standards, and compliance.

Key Responsibilities:
Project Planning and Execution:
Develop and deliver detailed supply chain project plans covering sourcing, distribution, logistics, inventory, and supplier initiatives.
Define project timelines, milestones, and resource requirements to ensure minimal disruption to restaurant operations.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including supply chain, operations, quality, finance, and external partners.

Budget and Schedule Management:
Prepare project cost estimates and manage approved budgets.
Track project spend and ensure delivery within financial and timeline constraints.
Identify cost-saving and efficiency opportunities across the supply chain.

Risk Management:
Identify supply chain risks including supplier dependency, logistics delays, capacity constraints, and product availability.
Develop and implement mitigation plans to protect continuity of supply and restaurant performance.

Supplier and Stakeholder Management:
Manage relationships with suppliers, distributors, and logistics partners.
Act as the key point of contact for supply chain projects with internal stakeholders including operations leadership and senior management.
Provide clear, regular project updates and manage stakeholder expectations.

Compliance and Quality Assurance:
Ensure all supply chain projects comply with McDonald’s standards, food safety requirements, quality assurance processes, and regulatory obligations.
Support audits, supplier compliance checks, and corrective action plans where required.

Documentation and Reporting:
Maintain accurate project documentation including plans, risk registers, change logs, and status reports.
Prepare progress updates and post-project reports for senior stakeholders.

Project Closeout and Evaluation:
Lead project closeout activities including final reporting, cost reconciliation, and performance evaluation.
Capture lessons learned and recommend improvements to future supply chain initiatives.

Scope of the Role:
Develop supply chain project proposals and business cases.
Manage changes to supply chain scope, suppliers, or logistics models with appropriate approval.
Support inventory optimisation, distribution efficiency, and service level improvements.
Lead supply chain improvement projects that enhance cost control, resilience, and operational performance.
Collaborate with restaurant operations teams to ensure supply solutions meet trading and customer needs.
