Our client, Bluestone Facilities Management Limited, based in Co. Laois, is currently seeking Plasterers for immediate start at their facility in Abbeyleix, Co. Laois.



Key Responsibilities:

-	To carry out all aspects of internal and external plastering, including skimming, bonding, float and set, rendering, and dry lining
-	To perform patch repairs and surface restoration works as part of reactive maintenance or refurbishment contracts
-	To prepare walls and ceilings by cleaning, applying bonding agents, and levelling surfaces prior to plastering
-	To apply various finishes such as sand/cement render, gypsum plaster, and decorative coatings as per project requirements
-	To undertake ceiling and wall repairs following electrical or plumbing installations
-	To work on occupied and unoccupied premises, ensuring minimal disruption to clients and maintaining a professional manner at all times
-	To inspect and assess damaged areas, determine the required materials and methods, and provide feedback to supervisors
-	To ensure all works are completed to specification, on time, and to a high standard of finish
-	To maintain accurate records of work completed and report any issues or delays to the Site Manager
-	To comply with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) regulations, including correct use of PPE and safe work practices
-	To maintain tools, materials, and equipment in good condition and report any defects
-	To assist other trades (e.g., painters, carpenters, tilers) when required to support the overall facilities maintenance operation



Key Requirements:

-	Ability to perform all job duties stated above
-	Minimum 3 years’ experience in plastering, preferably within a facilities management, construction, or maintenance environment
-	Strong knowledge of modern and traditional plastering techniques and materials
-	Demonstrated ability to produce a high-quality finish across a variety of surfaces and environments
-	Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering professional workmanship
-	Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications
-	Strong communication skills with the ability to liaise effectively with clients, site supervisors, and team members
-	Self-motivated, reliable, and capable of working independently with minimal supervision



Annual remuneration: €34,000.00; Pay rate €16.77 per hour 

Work Location: Bluestone Facilities Management Limited, Killamuck, Abbeyleix, Co. Laois, R32 YD86.
